Cancellation Policy

We are unable to accommodate order cancellations once placed due to the customized nature of our products. In some cases it may be possible to delay or change the delivery date of your order. Unfortunately if your order has already entered production or is ready for pick-up, cancellations can no longer be accommodated. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss options.

Refund Policy

Due to the handmade and perishable nature of our baked goods, Catalina's Sweet Atelier does not offer refunds. 

Our small team works tirelessly to create beautiful, delicious desserts made special for each customer. With this in mind, all sales are final and subject to the policies stated above.

If you are unsatisfied with your order from Catalina's Sweet Atelier for any reason, please notify us within 24 hours of pickup along with photo documentation of the issue. We will review the photos and determine if the product meets our quality standards. Contact us at info@catalinasweetatelier.com

If the product is found to not meet Catalina's Sweet Atelier standards, customers must return the unsatisfactory item(s) to our shop within 24 hours of pickup to potentially qualify for a partial store credit. The amount of store credit offered will depend on how quickly the item is returned, how much has been consumed, and our determination of product quality.


Store credit percentages are based on the timeliness of return, amount remaining, and evaluated quality. Store credits of any kind will not be issued to customers who do not contact us within 24 hours.

Please note that cake flavor and texture preferences are subjective. Store credits cannot be provided based solely on opinions of taste, texture, or look of a cake after it has been accepted and taken off premises. The quality and preparation of returned items will be evaluated against our standards when considering partial store credit eligibility.


We cannot take responsibility for undeliverable packages resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses provided or if the recipient is unavailable to accept delivery. For apartment buildings or gated communities, we will do our best to gain entry and directly deliver to your door.

*Note: Customers may be required to physically return products to our store location for inspection and evaluation.

Disclaimers

  • All products are the responsibility of the customer once they leave our shop. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to cakes during transport, set-up or any time thereafter. Instructions on how to properly carry, transport, and store cakes are provided upon pickup. Cakes are fragile and can be easily damaged if not handled properly, resulting in cracks, smudges, melted frosting, etc.
  • Catalina's Sweet Atelier does not accept liability for any damages to cakes after they leave our premises, including but not limited to melted frosting, cracked fondant, smudged decorations, etc. There are inherent risks in transporting finished cakes that the customer accepts upon pickup.
  • Catalina's Sweet Atelier reserves the right to substitute ingredients or flavors based on availability and will inform customers beforehand if substitutions are necessary.
  • Prices are subject to change, especially for custom orders. Original quoted prices will be honored if a significant deposit has been put down.
  • Payment in full is required upon placing an order. No refunds, returns, or exchanges allowed once cakes or other baked goods leave our shop due to subjective opinions on taste, look, or quality.
  • Our desserts at Catalina's Sweet Atelier feature fresh fruits of the highest available quality; please note that as they are natural ingredients, we may not have full control over variations in fruit characteristics such as taste and color. We do not assume responsibility or provide a guarantee that the freshness and integrity of the fruit in our desserts will be maintained beyond one day. 
  • If an order is not picked up, no refund will be given. Unclaimed orders will be held for up to 2 days before being discarded. Natural damage occurring while held is not our responsibility.
